Welcome Assembly

It was nearly night time and soon the students would be back on the Durmstrang Ship and school would start again. Stellios made his way down to the Dineing Chamber wearing his long furry coat which he always wore on special occasions.

The Headmaster walked into the empty hall awaiting students to enter. It was the start of the new term and he had some very exciteing news which he couldn't wait to tell the Durmstrang Students.

Alexandra made her way to the Dinning Chamber alone that night. She hadn't bothered to waited for any of her fellow Netterpalasts, they all seemed to be taking too long in the dorms. Lips making a stiff line on her face Alex's eyes roved the floor in front of her as she walked. Being first to the assembly had it's advantages, one being first pick of all the seats at her house's table.

"Evening Headmaster." Alexandra said with a polite nod towards the slightly imposing looking man at the front of the room.

Ryan walked into the dinning hall in a terrible mood. His father wanted him to leave school to work at the family inn. He hated his father for many reasons. His father was an ass most of the time. The man was at least toward Ryan. He moved over to his table and sat down in the most cross manner. He took a drink at whatever was at the table. He looked at the headmaster waiting.

Bang.

"Ouch" Alyson said as the hall door hit her on the fornt of her head. "Stupid door" She muttered softly under her breath making her way to her house table by the name of 'Screlick' what a stupid name for a house, Really. Why did the name of all these houses had to be so odd? At Hogwarts you had 'Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw' and that was bad enough. Aly didn't even know the Beauxbatones houses but she highly assumed they where just as bad.

"'Evening everyone" She said with a small nod as she took a seat near the end of the table, crossed her legs and took a small drink of some water that she had just poured into a goblet. Oh god...its the furry coat She said to her self with a small laugh looking up at the Headmaster. There must have been something quite important for him to be wearing his 'Furry coat'.

Looking around the room Alyson spotted very few people that she reconized. Alex was there, and so was Ryan. And that was about all she knew. You couldn't really of called her the person with the most friends in the world. Not like she was mean or anything, she just didn't really get around to meating that many people. Not like it really did mater to her.

So she just sat there waiting for the 'Good news' to come, or 'Bad news' for that mater but Alyson assumed it would be good news seeing well the Headmaster did have a small smile on his face as she could see.

Alexandra zoned out as she sat at the Netterpalast table and starred down at the worn wooden table. She looked at all the markings that had been made over time. Some by accident, like smudges of ink and scrapes into the wood possibley from plates, goblets and other things that had occupied the table. Others looked intentional like small picture of a golden snitch craved into the wood, and like the initials of students long ago A.T. + C.M. with a heart framing the letters.

Suddenly Alex looked up, the sound of something, or rather someone, crashing into the dining chamber doors brought her out of her thoughts. Looking over towards the entrance Alexandra saw her friend Alyson making her way into the room. It was the first thing to make her laugh since she'd returned to Durmstrang. "Way to go Alyson." Alexandra whispered to herself smiling.

Alex watched Alyson make her way to the Screlick table, sitting down beside, Ryan. When did he get there? She took a look up towards Headmaster Magischer, it didn't look like he was going to start right soon. Slipping out of her bench seat Alexandra walked towards the Screlick table, stopping behind Alyson and Ryan. "Hey you two." Alex said smiling.

"I heard that little missy.." Alyson said with a laugh sticking her toung out at Alex. Then turning back to the front of the room with one of those 'I did nothing' kinda smiles on her pale face. And then they waited more. She really would have been better coming in about 4 hours later...But alas (tehe Mookie) she did not. Turning back to Alex again she smiled a bit,

"Hiya Miss Mitchell, long time no see eh?" She said with a grin. It was true, for such a big school people dind't see each other that much, apart from classes and stuff. But who ever liked seeing people in classes? Anywho. "Hola Ryan" She said with a nod looking over the table to where Ryan was sitting.[/center]

Alexandra smiled and ever laughed a little at Alyson. It was about time she stopped wallowing in self pity and began smiling again. This was a new year, it could be acompletely new start. As long as she kept her mind focused. "Yeah, we should hang out some time." Alex suggested to Alyson.

She stole a quick look towards Ryan, he looked so down, what could be wrong? Hopefully it wasn't her fault. Alex smiled towards him before looking back to Alyson. "So how was your break?" She asked, taking as seat at the Screlick table.

Ryan didn't noticed for a while that anyone was talking to him. He was planning out a scene in his mind of he cursing his father out. Maybe there was a punch or two. He was glad to be at Durmstrang and he wasn't leaving. He returned to the present and saw Alex and Alyson there. He smiled sheepishly.

"Hola," said Ryan. He took a sip of his drink. He ran his fingers through his dark hair.
